Who Knew?

Rascal Flatt's new CD "http://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifStill Feels Good" has barely started warming up my CD player and iPhone, but I'm already loving a really random collaboration between them and Jamie Foxx on the song "She Goes All The Way"...i know! Random huh?

I was listening to the album last night after downloading it and I heard this song, and immediately was like "who's singing with them?" It took some work digging through the digital booklet to find out that it was Jamie Foxx; and I found it especially odd that no where on the track name or anywhere else obvious does it say he's featured on the track. Nevertheless....check out the song, whether that means the 30 sec clip on itunes or stumbling across it on the web

there is good news. but first the story/bad news

yesterday the $100 store credit for early iphone buyers went live - yes! i can finally get my itunes gift card!

or not

after doing some research/reading blogs and such, it turns out that apple has put restrictions on the store credit and they can't be used to purchase itunes gift cards. so i was actually becoming fine with it by today, ok with my decision to use it towards the Leopard OS coming out soon

BUT THEN

it turns out that you CAN use the store credit to buy an itunes gift card....the trick? it has to be a physical gift card, no electronic ones that they email to you....sneaky?....not sneaky enough because after a quick trip to the apple store at fashion fair, my account on itunes is $100 richer, woooop!!

needless to say i'm set for new album releases for the next, oh, 3 months or so

Steve Jobs announced today that anyone who bought an iPhone back when they were first released will receive a $100 apple store credit since we all shed many a tear yesterday when they announced the price drop...

here comes $100 worth of itunes store purchases!

Brilliant!

Today Apple announced a whole new iPod lineup....but bleh, i have my iphone and that's all i need (lets just forget the fact that they lowered the price of the 8Gig one to $399...$100 less than I payed for my 4Gig) anyhoo...

Ringtones for the iPhone. FINALLY you might say (or just me...) BUT it costs 99 cents extra to make a ringtone out of songs - and only SOME songs - but this is a big step....so i'll do it only when i have extra $$ in my iTunes account

EVEN BIGGER: ITUNES WIFI MUSIC STORE = BRILLIANT

I was JUST discussing this with Jeremiah, how Apple needed to integrate the itunes store to their mobile devices...and it's coming!! So I can be ANYWHERE ANYTIME ANYPLACE and shop for my favorite thing to shop for, music! It's the entire itunes store in your hand. Plus Apple and Starbucks are in a deal now in which by '09 all Starbucks locations with Wifi will allow itunes wifi music store shoppers to find out what song is currently being played and can be downloaded!!

so big big stuff coming up...now all i have to do it WAIT cause a lot of this is launching in the very near future
